Simon Skytte Petersen is a multidisciplinary artist, working with performance, acting and music production. He holds a Bachelor in Acting from the Norwegian Theatre Academy, where he was trained in Acting and Performance arts, and is currently based in Denmark. A recurring theme in his practice is building worlds/universes rooted in the genre of horror and fantasy, herein working with extreme forms of expressions and theatricality, creating experiences with large “in-your-face” moments combined with a sense of togetherness, vulnerability and intimacy.

Usually working from a place of grief, a mourning of being in the world as it is today, he aims to create spaces of escapism, spaces where it is possible to flee the logics and rules of the world, and instead invite fantasy, dreams and nightmares as a way of resisting. He does this by seeking inwards and exhaustingly trying to unravel the many creatures of beings lodged within himself, creating characters, fantastical creatures or icons.

Deep down, Simon always wanted to be a pop star, and so every opportunity he gets to try to explore these universes through the medium of music, he does. Producing electronic, cyperpunk, pop songs to somehow grasp the soundtrack of ghostliness and fantastical nightmares, becoming the DJ guiding the way through an explosion of imagination.
